Privacy Policy

Rapid Technologists (rapidtechnologists.org) is a free directory run by Sam Devine in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what we do with it. We've tried to keep it short and plain.

What we collect

• When you contact a builder or ask for help finding one: your name, email, company, what you need, and anything optional you choose to share, such as industry, company size, timeline, and how you found us.
• When you create a builder account: your email and password, your profile, photo, projects, screenshots, and the information you enter in your private self-assessment.
• When a builder lists you as a reference: your name, organization, and email, entered by the builder, and your answers if you complete the confirmation form.
• When you use the site: basic, anonymous usage information such as pages visited, and the cookies needed to keep you signed in.

How we use it

• To send your inquiry to the builder you contacted, or to help match you with a builder
• To run the directory: reviewing applications, confirming references, issuing and renewing credentials
• To send emails related to your account, inquiry, application, or reference request
• To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used and how to improve it

What we share

• Inquiry details go to the builder you're contacting. "Help me find a builder" requests are seen by the people running the directory, and may be shared with builders we suggest to you.
• Builder profiles, projects, tiers, and credential status are public once listed.
• Self-assessments and reference responses are private. Only the builder (for their own self-assessment) and the people running the directory can see them.
• We use service providers to host the site, store data, and send email. They handle data only to provide those services.
• We don't sell your information, and we don't share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep information as long as it's needed to run the directory or to respond to you. Builders can update or remove their profile at any time. Anyone can ask us to delete their information.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you by emailing hello@rapidtechnologists.org. We'll respond within 30 days.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
