Life experience

In Dale's own words

I framed houses in my twenties, then taught high school shop and math for twenty years. Teaching showed me how people actually learn a new tool, and how fast they give up on a bad one. When I started building software, I went back to the small crews I used to work beside and built the scheduling and job tracking they kept asking for.

I explain things the way I did in a classroom: plainly, and until it makes sense.
